Building Your A-Team: How to Stop Playing the Hiring Lottery and Stack Your Deck with Rockstars

👋 Are your employees more like the cast of “The Office” after a few too many Dundie Awards than a well-oiled machine? 🥴 Trust me, I get it.

I once hired a “social media guru” who thought Instagram was solely a place for Gen Z and posting a reel everyday with “trending” music was all it took. 🤦‍♀️ Spoiler alert: they didn’t last long.

That’s priceless! ✨ Hire people who share your values, who are fired up about your mission, and who will fit right in with your company culture. Remember, a positive attitude is contagious (and so is a bad one!). Choose your team wisely.
  3. Are they growth-minded? Don’t just hire for today’s needs; hire for tomorrow’s world domination! 🌍 Look for people who are hungry to learn, adaptable to change, and ready to tackle new challenges head-on. After all, a team that’s not growing is a team that’s dying.

But wait, there’s more!

Hiring is just the beginning. Retaining top talent is equally important (and sometimes even harder!).

Here are a few tips to keep your team happy, engaged, and singing your praises:

  • Create a workplace that’s the bomb-dot-com! 💣 Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect. Make it a place where people feel valued, heard, and genuinely excited to come to work every day. (Hint: Donuts and team-building exercises help 😉).
